Slab Cracking — Additional Deck Loading

The owner raised concerns regarding cracking to the concrete slab following the addition of a deck structure over an existing slab area.

Inspection identified cracking concentrated near the base of the slab. The additional deck loads were not consistent with the original slab arrangement, resulting in increased loading and localised distress to the slab.
