Concrete Spalling — Basement Garage

A strata manager engaged Saymex to investigate concrete spalling and deteriorating reinforcement in the basement garage parking area of a strata building.

The spalling was attributed to a combination of waterproofing failure and chloride ingress, leading to corrosion of the embedded reinforcement and progressive concrete delamination.
